Manitoba Student Health Research Forum Awards

The Manitoba Student Health Research Forum (MSHRF) provides opportunities for advanced training, networking, and professional development for Manitoba graduate students and postdocs. The MSHRF’s goal is to recognize and showcase excellence, and to foster collaboration in health research at all levels.

Last week, the event was held from June 17-19, featuring a trainee poster competition, networking workshop, talks from early career researchers, and an awards ceremony. We were thrilled to see so many CHRIM trainees recognized at the awards ceremony. Of the 194 abstract submissions, 81 were connected to CHRIM, while 40 per cent of the awards were received by members and trainees from the Institute.

Last, but not least, CHRIM received the Outstanding Contribution to Research Award! This award recognizes the Institute’s dedication to mentoring students and investigators, and expanding research in Manitoba.
