Usefulness of Dynamic Lung Ultrasound in Evaluating the Response to Interventions in Preterm Infants on Respiratory Support
Principal Investigator: Dr. Deima Alammary
Ultrasound is a non-invasive and effective way to diagnose lung disease in adults and children. Its use has not been studied with newborns in Canada. Therefore, we are doing this study to evaluate the effectiveness of the ultrasound in newborn infants need respiratory support after birth. An ultrasound may help us clarify information about lung or breathing tubes responsible for poor oxygenation.
