NO-OUCH: Hydromorphone vs. Acetominphen & Ibuprophen
Principal Investigator: Dr. Scott Sawyer
When children come to the Children’s emergency department with a broken bone, healthcare providers want to make sure to treat the injury and reduce the pain for the child. In the No Ouch study, parents can choose between two options: one where their child could get a painkiller that is an opioid and one where there is no chance their child will get an opioid painkiller. Ultimately, this will help healthcare providers give children painkillers that are effective and acceptable to families.
