I-PASS: Implementation of a Standardized Handover in Pediatric Surgery

Handover happens when one shift of healthcare providers is ending for one team and beginning for another. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of an efficient, comprehensive, and standardized handover process called I-PASS to make sure that all important information is handed over in a timely way in pediatric surgery at the Children’s Hospital. This will process in other places has been shown to reduce medical errors, and to improve communication among healthcare providers.
