Dr. Cheryl Rockman-Greenberg MD,CM, FRCPC, FCCMG
Academic Lead
Dr. Cheryl Rockman-Greenberg completed her medical studies as well as postgraduate specialty training in Paediatrics and Medical & Biochemical Genetics at McGill University in Montréal. She subsequently moved to Winnipeg in 1978 where she is proud to have lived ever since.  Throughout her professional career at the University of Manitoba in the Departments of Pediatrics & Child Health and Biochemistry & Medical Genetics and in the Program of Genetics and Metabolism, Shared Health, she has focussed on caring for patients and their families with hereditary metabolic disorders, focussed on a “bedside to bench and back to bedside approach” to further clinical discovery and new ways to treat patients.
Dr. Aziz Mhanni
Clinical Lead
Dr. Mhanni is a Clinician Scientist, and an Associate Professor in the Department of Pediatrics and Child Health and the Department of Biochemistry and Medical Genetics in the Faculty of Medicine, University of Manitoba, Canada. He is a practicing Consultant in Clinical Genetics and in Metabolic Disorders.  Dr. Mhanni’s focus in clinical research has primarily been concerned with the advances in the treatment of different inborn errors of metabolism. His research interests also include understanding the role of epigenetics in human disorders.
James Elmore
Clinical Research Nurse
James completed his Master’s Nursing at McGill University in 2016 and has worked as both a frontline nurse in acute care as well as on clinical drug trials as a research nurse. James also holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Winnipeg, where he was first introduced to the exciting world of genomics and molecular biology. In his spare time, James enjoys gardening and exploring Manitoba’s natural areas with his wife and their two children. 
Erika Bloomfield     
Administrative Assistant
Erika has worked for the University of Manitoba for 16 years in a variety of capacities. She has extensive experience with coordinating an assortment of clinical research projects and providing a wide range of administrative support. Outside of work, Erika enjoys cheering on her children at the rink.
Angela Krutish, MSc, MSc, CGC, CCGC
Project Manager
Angela was born and raised in Winnipeg, MB.  She holds a BSc (Hons) in Genetics, an MSc in Biochemistry and Medical Genetics, and an MSc in Genetic Counselling from the University of Manitoba.  Prior to her role at the CPMN, Angela worked as a clinical genetic counsellor at the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre.  Angela’s primary interest is improving access to genetics services; therefore, she is very excited to be a part of the CPMN team!  In her spare time, Angela enjoys reading, cooking, and spending time with her family and 3 dogs.
Jim Slater
Health System & Business Advisor

Jim has experience in senior leadership roles in all 4 Western provinces and in leading several national health care initiatives particularly focused on innovative solutions that deliver a substantive clinical value. He has championed “Choosing Wisely” and “Personalized Medicine” developing provincial strategies for both MB and BC. Jim’s leadership positions include: BC’s first Chief Provincial Diagnostics Officer leading the development, implementation, and evaluation of the province-wide pathology and medical laboratory service delivery model; CEO of Diagnostic Services Manitoba leading the transformation of provincial diagnostics; as well as COO of Shared Health, Executive Director in SK, and Healthy System and Business Advisor in AB.
