Research Focus

I am studying the relationship between breastfeeding and cognitive functioning in children. My research focuses on examining potential mechanisms for why this relationship exists including the composition of breastmilk, parent-child attachment and connections between the gut and the brain.

Career Goals

I aspire to use research to inform policy and programs aimed at helping children grow up healthy. I’m passionate about effective science communication and knowledge translation and hope to work within academia or the public sector to improve child health outcomes.
