Research Focus

My work focuses on the psychological and social challenges experienced by children, youth, and families living with type 1 and type 2 diabetes and other chronic health conditions. My research explores how digital health tools can be leveraged to enhance psychosocial care and support self-management among children, adolescents, young adults, and their families.

Central to my work are three key areas: (1) identifying factors that influence the implementation and adoption of evidence-based psychosocial practices; (2) co-developing interventions to improve health and psychosocial outcomes; and (3) advancing equity by integrating principles of diversity, equity, inclusion, justice, and anti-racism into diabetes care and service delivery.
