Research Focus

I am a clinician–scientist focused on improving psychosocial outcomes for children and adolescents living with diabetes. My work centers on implementing evidence-based psychosocial clinical practice guidelines into routine care to better integrate mental health within chronic disease management.

A key area of my research is the translation of evidence into practice by identifying and addressing patient-, provider-, and system-level barriers and facilitators to delivering psychosocial care in real-world clinical settings. I also develop and evaluate digital tools and brief mental health interventions designed to improve access to care, strengthen self-management, and support scalable and equitable service delivery for children and families.

Overall, my goal is to advance integrated models of care that combine medical and psychosocial treatment to improve health outcomes, patient and family experience, and equity in access to care.
