Research Focus

1. Using mouse models to understand gene's function, which led to identify a new regulator of telomere length (RTEL1) (Cell, 2004; Science, 2013) and a new PDGF ligand PDGF-C (Nature Genetics, 2004).
2. Using mouse models to determine several genetic mutations as identified by local investigators, such as Trim32, Emg1, Prune1 and GLRX5.

Research Interests

Applying either CRISPR/Cas9 or ES cell-based genetic approaches to create mouse models for genetic analysis and modelling human diseases.
