Research Focus

I research how our immune system responds to vaccines, infections and is dysregulated during chronic inflammatory conditions (asthma, pediatric inflammatory bowel disease). I study a family of proteins called interferons which have potent antiviral activity, but also have novel roles in regulating inflammatory processes.
