Research Focus
Our translational research program on asthma pathophysiology supports the development of new therapies, and understanding mechanisms for disease origins in children. We generate new fundamental knowledge of cell and molecular mechanisms using human cell cultures, and assess relevance in pre-clinical research
with small animal models and human subjects.
Research Interests
- Asthma biology and pathophysiology
- Developmental origins of lung disease
- Air pollution, tobacco & cannabis smoke exposure in infant lung health
