Research Focus

My laboratory uses ‘3D Bioprinting’ to create functional muscle tissue from cultured muscle cells. This 3D bioprinted muscle behaves just like a real muscle in the body and can be exposed to conditions known to cause disease, to better understand how we can prevent and treat disease in human patients.
