Research Focus
Dr. Gounni’s research program aims to define the molecular mechanisms of airway immune and structural cells in mediating airway dysfunction. In particular, how the deficiency in homeostatic pathways like semaphorin3E affects airway inflammation and tissue remodeling outcomes leading to loss of lung function.
