Research Focus
Dr. Gounni’s research program is focusing on investigating the molecular mechanisms of inflammation and tissue remodeling in chronic airway diseases. In particular, his laboratory has recently shown the importance of the Semaphorin3E/plexinD1 network in mediating a protective role in allergic asthma.
