Rethinking the Finnegan: Using “Eat, Sleep and Console” as a Model of Care for Families Impacted by Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome
- To review the underlying physiologic and social factors involved in neonatal substance withdrawal.
- Present our experience at BC Women’s Hospital in introducing a functional assessment tool for neonatal withdrawal.
- Introduce a treatment algorithm for neonatal withdrawal designed to reduce total morphien exposure in treatment.
