Ongoing Study

PESQOL: Impact Pediatric Epilepsy Surgery on Health Related QOL

Principal Investigator: Dr. Ed Leung

In this study, researchers want to learn more about the health related quality of life, including physical, mental, psychological and social well-being, of children with poorly controlled epilepsy.  This study will help healthcare providers understand whether the type of epilepsy treatment affects the quality of life of children with epilepsy and how the children’s quality of life changes over time. This study will also help us understand if other factors such as children’s or parents’ or legal guardian’s mood, family resources, demands, and experiences with bullying influence the children’s quality of life.
