DESCRIPTION:Speakers\nYina Her\, MSc Candidate\nCK2 variant function and modelling in Drosophila highlights Wnt/β-catenin agonists for potential treatment in childhood rare disorders. \nYina started her MSc in Biochemistry & Medical Genetics in Fall 2023 after completing her BSc in Psychology from University of Manitoba in Spring 2023. She is interested in dissecting the genetic and molecular pathways underlying neurological disorders with a focus on therapeutics. \nKelly Russell\, PhD\nUnderstanding the health\, educational\, judicial\, and social outcomes of Manitoba children exposed to intimate partner violence. \nKelly Russell is an Associate Professor in the Department of Child Health and Pediatrics and holds the Robert Wallace Cameron Chair in Evidence Based Medicine.  Her research focuses on risk factors for prolonged recovery from a pediatric concussion\, interventions to improve concussion recovery\, psychosocial and academic outcomes following a pediatric concussion\, health-related quality of life during concussion recovery in youth\, and preventing pediatric sport injuries.
