Each year CHRIM welcomes undergraduate students to join a research lab for 8 weeks before the fall term begins as part of the summer studentship grants and awards. Students are paired up with a researcher who provides supervision and mentorship in their related field of study.
“The summer studentship program continues to grow with this year being the highest number of undergraduate students to join us to date, says Dr. Terry Klassen, CEO and Scientific Director, CHRIM. “Our goal in supporting students on their path in health studies is to fuel their passion that leads to an impactful career in health research”.
This year, 40 students joined CHRIM in a variety of health related areas! 13 joined as a result of the Summer Studentship grants, and an additional 27 students joined from external funding. A full of this year’s Summer Scholars can be found here.
Part of the program includes a series of Studentship Rounds where each student presents their project to the CHRIM community to showcase their work.
Studentship Rounds are going on now and everyone is encouraged to attend. You can register in advance for the next session happening August 24th at noon.
